Assess your current situation, challenge, or opportunity… 36 Actions Download

By Liz Bywater | Thought Leadership | Comments are Closed | 5 April, 2018 | 0

To assess your situation you will need to slow down and take a pause from the busyness. In our fast-paced world, taking a pause can feel implausible, impractical, or self-indulgent. Believe me, I understand how busy you are, and I know how much pressure you’re under. Like you, I sometimes find myself faced with back-to-back meetings, nonstop e-mails and voice messages, and the kind of excessive busyness that leads to a sense of overwhelm and exhaustion by the end of the day. I know how that feels, and I recognize how hard it can be to slow down. Taking the time to assess your current situation allows you to discover your strategic direction so you can speed up on the right course and achieve better, faster results. All it takes is a modest investment of upfront time and effort.

Assess your current situation, challenge, or opportunity. Examine it from a variety of angles.

  • Is this a near-term priority?
  • Will it help you advance your strategic objectives?
  • When and how will you approach it for the greatest impact and advantage?

If you’re still not convinced that slowing down is a good use of time, check out the rest of the ideas in my free ebook: Slow Down to Speed Up®: 36 Actions to Accelerate Success!
