What’s The One Question Your Team Must Ask?
Whether you are in the midst of a major transformation (and who isn’t, these days?), looking for ways to grow your business (and who doesn’t want that?) or simply exploring ways to accelerate results, there is one question you and your team must ask right away:
How can we replicate success?
If you are like many of my clients, you and your team are already doing a lot of things right. You are identifying opportunities for new business. You are giving your customers an outstanding experience at every turn. You are welcoming your new employees in ways that drive excitement, enthusiasm and readiness to perform from their very first day on the job.
And that’s great news. You are already doing what it takes to thrive as a business. Your team is strong and you are getting results. You have momentum. But in the midst of those good results, are you slowing down long enough to thoroughly understand and build on your success?
Teams that win again and again take the time to reflect upon their success. They pause deliberately to discuss, understand and replicate what they did right. They ask themselves, What are the actions that led to the latest victory, and what can be applied to the next opportunity, and the one after that?
We all know, past wins are no guarantee of future success. But when you take the time to thoroughly explore what you are doing well, you equip yourself and your team to get it right each and every time. You take control of the process. You create the conditions for enduring success.
So, when is the last time you asked your team: How can we replicate success?
To your continued success!
